The rarest wine in the world

The Domaine of Clos Naudin, founded in 1910 produces over 13 hectares of wonderful Vouvray. The chenin vines, The only grape allowed in this appelation, are found in the “terroir” of the Perruches.

The extremely tight structure of these wines will express themselves after eight long years.

The domain of the Clos Naudin, property of Philippe Foreau, have a particularity, when the right conditions are met, a unique vintage, the Goutte d’Or is born. The domain has produced this wine, the rarest in the world, twice once in 1947 and the other in 1990.

A very late in one go harvest, without sorting and after a very slow press, the juice of a remarkable yellow gold flows, giving its name to this remarkable vintage.

When will the next batch of Goutte d’Or appear? Hopefully we won’t have to wait for another 43 years …!
